The internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numners(ICANN) invites you to attend Africa DNS Forum 2018. This sixth edition of the events is taking place under the theme « Building a Sustainable Domaine Name Industry in Africa ». Global and Regional experts will be discussing the latest issues in the DNS industry and opportunities in Africa. The Forum is co-organized by ICANN and the Africa Top Level Domains Organization (AfTLD), and hosted by the Regulatory Authority of Communications Electronics in Benin (ARCEP).

Under this agreement between all ICANN Accredited Registrars based in the African Continent, the AfRegistrars shall fulfill the role, responsibilities and functions of the AFREGISTRARS as defined within the ICANN Bylaws as referenced at [ICANN-BYLAWS]. Purpose: Defining roles and processes supporting global policy development, including the relationship between the Internet ccTLDs and gTLDs community (represented by the ccNSO and the GNSO) and ICANN Registrants within the operation of this process ; Defining mechanisms for the provision of recommendations to the Board of ICANN concerning the new gTLDs. Defining accessible, open, transparent and documented procedures for the selection of individuals to serve on other ICANN bodies, and selection of members of various standing committees and ad hoc ICANN bodies. Give faith and confidence to the African Registrant by providing service and committed to their duties and responsabilities through the ICANN contract they have with ICANN and the Registries (ccTLDs and gTLDs). Facilitate the fulfill and the completion of the missing links for the African Continent to catch up for the Domain Name Gap in Africa.
